PERFECT ANYWHERE: Loom-woven and hemmed on all sides with contrast lock stitching, our blanket looks right at home in the woods or on your couch. Wool is a naturally fire-retardant material. Our blankets are NEVER treated with any additional flame-retardant chemicals, making it safe for you and your family. PLENTY OF ROOM FOR ALL - Large size (64" x 88") will keep you and a friend cozy while camping, at a tailgate party, or an outdoor concert. Also great as an emergency blanket in your vehicle or for a cowboy camping setup. WARM & DEPENDABLE - Wool is a time-tested natural fabric that will keep you warm, even when wet. The remainder of the blanket is composed of 20% hypoallergenic synthetic fibers for durability and washability. Because wool fibers are relatively short, longer synthetic fibers help secure the weave, minimizing shedding and adding years of life to your blanket. Great blanket. Excellent price.

Bought two blankets. Care instructions followed. Wash 3 times each. Air dried gray for my husband to keep him from shrinking. Since he is 84 inches tall and the blanket is 88 inches. I put mine in the air dryer in navy for 99 minutes. You can also tell how much fluff has fallen out of the dryer filter by the fact that I shaved off the fluff with a shaving stone. Very soft and great smell when all is said and done. Well worth the work to save 60% on other duvet cover prices. Thank you for…

    Serious bang for your buck!

I bought these blankets to make a wool parka shirt. After a few hours of cutting and sewing, we formed a shirt and hood. I have worn this on hunting and camping trips and camping trips. It has been tested from 35 degrees in the high desert with winds of 20 mph to mountains at 10 degrees and a light breeze. I've never felt more comfortable with the elements. I will be buying a few more to make shirts for the family and to have blankets on hand! These are worth the money! Soft to the touch and…

I think most of the negative feedback comes from people who have never owned an actual wool blanket. These folks should settle for one-star ratings. A high-quality wool blanket has a slight animal smell. It wears out. stop washing! I know they advertise you can wash it at home. But not. Just dry clean. Serious. My cleaning even praised the duvet for its quality. Only beginners expect a wool blanket to smell nice out of the bag and not shrink or fall off when washed. I love this blanket. Just…

Smells like gas for safety and survival

This blanket arrived and looked great. It smelled very strongly of petrol. I called Amazon and they told me to wash it. Cold washing and air drying in my dryer ruined my washer and dryer leaving very little hair on it that I can't remove and which is now all over my clothes and bedding causing me severe allergic reactions and headaches. -5 stars if I could. This is the worst product ever. Revain was kind enough to return it to me, so I'm going back. I'm very sad because I wanted this to work…

In addition to the smell, great warmth and complete satisfaction

Absolutely wonderful and exactly as advertised. It smells and my dog smelled it and ran outside and hid behind the garage. I took the blanket to the laundry at the nearest mall and the ladies there wanted my blanket. The homeless man said it reminded him of his military days. This blanket is well made and tailored correctly. It is better to put a sheet or something smooth under it for a while, it itches. Wash thoroughly in soft water and dry gently in a front loading machine. Do not use a mixer

    Decent value for money

The duvet looks high quality and has minimal odor. After airing it out in the garage for three days, I put it in my car to use as a winter emergency blanket and I don't notice any smell from it in the car. While the duvet is "nice and heavy" meaning it won't slip off your sheet or sleeping bag like synthetic fleece blankets do, it has a lot less "buoyancy" than I would expect from a quality one blanket would expect. Attic = trapped air = ability to trap heat. I have other military and quilts…

None. Unfortunately, it just doesn't. I really, really wanted to love this blanket. I read the reviews and decide to buy based on the positive numbers (and choose to ignore the fair amount of negative ones). Straight out of the box - no bad smells other reviewers have listed. Chemical smell, sure, but not bad. Good sign. The ceiling looked beautiful. Good sign number two. At this point my cat jumped up to check with me. She rubbed and kneaded once and immediately pulled out a large ball of…

    • Negative experience

We wanted to stash a heavy wool blanket in the trunk for emergencies but that wasn't what we needed. For us, two issues were key: 1) the chemical smell. We followed the advice of others and immediately started washing the comforter in cold water and tumble drying low/air. The chemical smell hasn't changed much after two washes and it was so unpleasant that we didn't feel safe keeping it. 2) skin. The blanket lost enough lint in two passes through the dryer to fill nearly a 3-gallon bucket. On…
