Great tool and easy-to learn script language

The ability to simulate mass transfer, heat exchangers, reactors with different configurations (including plug flow) as well as many other features are very useful for my research work in Chemical Engineering. I have used it mostly for simulation of batch processes but there's no reason why you can't use this software also for continuous flows or even multiphase simulations! It has helped me understand reaction kinetics better than some commercial packages which cost thousands per license. You…

Pros
  • Lots more options including multiple output formats such HTML reports etc
Cons
  • There are nuances

DWSIM is really useful modelling tool

I like that it has many different modules for simulating various processes; this makes using any one of them very easy to learn, use & understand! It also allows you input parameters from other software packages (such as Excel) so your model can be easily transferred between programs if needed or desired by yourself/the client at some point in time down stream - which would otherwise require manual transfer via text files etc.. The only thing i dislike about dwsim itself are its interface…

Pros
  • Implements most common chemical engineering process units including distillation tower unit operation along side simple equations used across all industries worldwide hence making learning curve much easier than others available online freeware's without requiring additional training hours spent outside work place environment?
Cons
  • Not bad

User friendly Software For Process Engineering

The best feature I like about this software, as per my use in practice setting it provides excellent visual representation of reaction pathways & yields when you are working under different conditions with multiple reagents (catalysts). It helps to reduce time required for project documentation by providing accurate graphical representations which would otherwise be not possible without using other expensive tools such as ChemDraw or MarvinSketch etc., If only we had more options regarding…

Pros
  • Intuitive interfaces
  • Ease of use features; ability get familiarized quickly.
  • User friendly environment
  • Easy way forward approach
Cons
  • Secret
