🔥 Honda 30500-Z8B-903 Ignition Coil: Superior Performance and Reliability Review

Runs great and my 20 year old lawn mower runs like new. Replacing the old coil was also easy and only took about 5 minutes. I set the gap with a business card and it starts on 1st or 2nd pull like new.

Apparently this part breaks down extremely rarely. Couldn't find him anywhere in the northern Dallas suburbs. Called 7 different lawn mower repair shops. Everyone was surprised that mine couldn't take it. They don't keep spare parts in stock. I was able to order from them and wait 2-3 weeks but was able to get it from Revain in two days.

This is the exact anchor replacement for my 2003 Honda HRX 217. The original connections still worked but the metal in the spark plug boot no longer held onto the tip of the plug. Installed with a business card gap and a new BPR6ES connector and the old red/grey beauty is working great again. I hope for another 17 years.

On my particular model of mower my coil had a connector for a red wire coming out of the mower. So I thought I ordered the wrong part. After watching a video on YouTube, I found out that the red wire is the ground wire. So I tied it to a metal spring and it ignited on the first pull. I assume my coil was a very old model. Hope this helps anyone who comes across this.

This year I had some problems with my Honda HRR2169 VKA mower. Gasoline turned to varnish, the carburetor was replaced and it worked for 30 minutes, after which the coil went out. I hardly use the mower, but every now and then. Now he has a new carburettor, spark plug and coil. Works great, starts the first time. I won't leave any more gas in it, but it didn't break the coil. Either way the part worked, the mower was fixed.

Just for context I was struggling to find the spec for this ignition coil. I knew I had no break. But I didn't know what the correct range for the coil was. My bad coil showed 12.75 kOhm. We then went to the local lawn equipment store and their parts book listed another coil for the same motor along with this one. We have ordered another one from them.
