Good for connecting two monitors! But there are problems

In the beginning everything worked out. After a few weeks, I noticed random screen flickering and display issues. When I switched to a regular HDMI cable with an HDMI port in the laptop, the problem went away. Perhaps the problem lies in this device. Also, there is an issue with auto-switching audio from monitor to BT headset and manual audio device selection may be required. I didn't notice this issue when using the laptop's HDMI port.

It works! in Notebook Accessories

My husband finally had to work from home, he uses 2 desktop monitors and a laptop for work. We were lucky and were able to get 2 monitors from a family member and borrow his laptop for work. So that was the part he needed to put it all together. It was the same brand he used at work and it works great!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Quality

Worth the extra money

Initially there was an unnamed USB 3-HDMI. nothing but questions. I finally decided to spend a little more and it was worth it to have something that just works. No weird drivers out of the box, Windows 10 installed it automatically and I was also able to connect it to my dock (the other one I replaced didn't work smoothly with the dock). Exceeded/met my expectations.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Setting up a triple external monitor with a 2017 MacBook Air!

This unit has performed flawlessly and exceeded my expectations. You won't be disappointed, just INSTALL THE DRIVERS for the device or you won't achieve anything; If you got it working without a driver, your overall experience is probably less than ideal. I have a 2017 MacBook Air and Apple itself said that this MacBook will NOT support more than two external displays. You were wrong. What I did to achieve this triple monitor setup (quad display if you count the MacBook monitor, I'm not…

  • Well built

Mid 2013 Macbook Air - Works great!

I was amazed at how well this little device worked with my mid 2013 MacBook Air. I hooked it up to two 27" Dell monitors and it works perfectly! No lags or delays. Don't use it for gaming, but for the professional business (donut making) it's perfect! I had a few minor issues with the driver. Do not plug in the device until you have downloaded the latest drivers (I had to update to Mojave) and installed the latest drivers from startech. Make sure you also allow any necessary permissions and…

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works fine, easy setup

I have a 2017 Macbook Air and was looking for a solution to get two external monitors working. This is an ingenious device. Easy setup and now I have three screens to work with. Exceeded my expectations in terms of structure and operation. I was looking forward to the technology battle. Not this case. Good product!

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine

Perfect for Mac Mojave except no HDCP so no movies!

I bought this to use on a 2014 Mac Mini with 10.14.6 Mojave. I installed the driver according to the instructions in the box, ran it and bam, the dual display port screens started working. I have Dell 32" and Asus 27" no problem. Until I went to launch iTunes or Superdrive to watch a movie. HDCP issues prevent playback when using this. I tried switching things and tried HDMI but it lowered my resolution. The temptation to return but for the money and what he does. Lets see what happens.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Fantastic adapter but drivers need to be installed.

Bought an adapter for work. At my work, they give us Surface tablets with i5. I had problems with it, couldn't keep up. I bought a Dell with an i7 and soon found I had only one way out. I came to Revain and found this, it's expensive but I chose it anyway as it was for work. I love the fact that I can use Ethernet and USB 3.0. What I didn't like is that I assumed it was plug and play, but that doesn't matter. I'm in IT. I then found that you need to follow the exact link in the manual as their…
