Btc Top is a Chinese private network of cryptocurrency miners that is ranked # 6 in the largest mining groups to date. Btc Top manages to reach approximately 7.1% of all mining shares.
Something that users will immediately notice when entering their website is that there is very little information about the platform itself. The website is very simple and doesn't really offer much to explore. You will find a compute power graph next to a "last 3 days power distribution graph" and it is not the typical log / login buttons.
Last year BTCcom and BTCtop teamed up to try to rewrite some blocks from the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, to retrieve the BCH mined by a miner who took advantage of the error during the fork in the network.

Pros
- Is incredibly active and houses 3687 PH / s. It has managed to obtain 1.8% of all existing blocks. These statistics are absolutely incredible for a private network.
- BTCTop heavily exploits Bitcoin Cash, revealed in November last year, that it was apolitical and would back the blockchain with the most amount of power.
Cons
- Currently, the group is not open to the public and there are no known plans to allow public cooperation.
- In mid-2019, it peaked at 54% of Bitcoin Cash hashrate, before seeing it pull back. According to some users, the mining group has just reached profitability, although any group that has more than 51% of the hashrate could be cause for concern.
- Jiang Zhuoer, the operator of the mining group BTCTop, revealed that his mining facility and several others were closed by local police, due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
