This project is subject to the same growing pains as many BTC shaped objects, but it shows innovative answers to complex obstacles. Flexibility shown in the numerous forks hard and soft this project has found consensus with indicates the leaders are doing something right. Usually 4 people can't agree on pizza toppings but they can get 100 countries to use this? Sounds like there are some beneficial use cases here. DYOR and until the morrow beloveds, #ComeToPascoe.

Pros
  • 40x faster than Bitcoin, mineable, BTC shaped object, checklist killa ( yes decentralized, yes open, yes free, yes SegWit, ) excellent visuals and layout design on their website. Maximum 21B DGB over 21 years. An eye popping 190K nodes and use in +100 countries. While I am still developing my understanding of group sizes and whether or not I should be impressed by numbers ( centralization in a decentralized platform) this made me take notice. 190K people and or machines run by some number probably less than 190K but likely more than 10K people running it. Early adoption, anyone?
Cons
  • This highly impressive product had scarcely appeared before my 3rd wave of self driven education in this sphere, so I could complain of marketing ineffectiveness or lack of eye catching partnerships/ marketing campaigns, but truly this is a fault of the observer, not the project. I've been in the first wave ( sorta kinda heard of it a little) from 2014/15 or so. Got to second wave last spring ( researching more, maybe start mining or planning or designing apps on blockchain) and at this point I'm buried up to my ankles in it, except I'm upside down. If I were not a lazy writer, I would put something about a technical question that had been answered in a suspect way, luckily for us, I am not a lazy writer, and the technical answers make sense - TPS = blocks every 15 seconds instead of every 10 minutes as with BTC. Ok, setting up the mining side takes a little bit more know how than my beloved auto install GUI mines, but the challenge is there so people who invest 20 minutes of their study can benefit from it and help the world.
