Elastos is the new smart web running on blockchain, where safety and economic distribution can grow rapidly on the internet. Its vision is to create a blockchain-powered decentralized internet that enables digital rights and secure transactions.
Elastos creates an online ecosystem that identifies each piece of digital asset and encodes it as an individual entity or product. Each digital asset will form a unit from a limited number, with the total amount being set by its original producer.
At the end of the process the owner will have a “tangible” object that no one can “copy” unless properly acquired using the Elastos coin, the blockchain’s token.
Elastos is merged mined with Bitcoin to optimize energy efficiency and leverage the security of the Bitcoin network for Elastos applications.
One of the strengths was the team, made up of 52 members among whom Jihan Wu (CEO of Bitmain), Hongfei Da (Founder & CEO of NEO) and many other high profile individuals.
