The open source project Ravencoin was born in 2018 with the firm purpose of spreading the use of cryptocurrencies around the world and in different areas of life, providing its own platform for the creation of new virtual currencies.
Ravencoin is a community-driven project, built from a code fork (on the UTXO 19 model of bitcoin), and that serves as the basis or starting point for other projects that allow programming them in their chain of block, which represents a great contribution to developers, since they do not necessarily have to start their business projects from scratch.
Ravencoin owns its own token (RVN) with a total supply of 21 billion coins. It currently uses the KAWPOW algorithm to promote the decentralization of mining through the use of over-the-counter GPUs and computational capabilities, which avoids the use of highly expensive mining equipment, facilitating RVN extraction. It has a wallet (Ravencoin wallet) which you can download directly from its official website in any of the versions of your preference (mobile or desktop). RVN is also compatible with other wallets such as Exodus, Atomic Wallet, CoinPayments, among others.
With Ravencoin you will be able to create and trade assets of different types on a network, either in the real environment (property titles, deeds, gold bars, among others) or in the digital environment (items of value earned in video games), since another One of the capabilities of the ravencoin platform is to recognize assets and differentiate between them, as well as to facilitate the efficient transfer of said assets from one party to another.
