I favor PoSV over DPoS (delegate proof-of-stake) and other consensus mechanisms. I like how fast transactions are the equal opportunity for anyone to stake with ease. Very much looking forward to REDD-ID so that payment may be made to a registered name rather than public key string.
Pros
- Extremely fast and cheap transaction times. Proof of Stake Velocity (PoSV) encourages use and staking based on coin age among other things thereby increasing network security and coins being spent rather than just HODLed.
Cons
- Small team of developers that aren't very prolific in committing new features (e.g. REDD-ID)
