I think that Substratum has a solid and very passionate team, they already have a working product, they have showed us dedication from day one. I think that Substratum it's a solid candidate for great success.
Pros
- Nobody has mention that Substratum was the only company that has successfully eliminate internet censorship, governments wants to control what you can access and block what is convenient to them. Only by installing a Substratum node you will be able to bypass any firewalls (like the Great Firewall of China) and access any website that the rest of the world has access to. This is just 1 of the benefits. The second most important is that you can sell some of your extra computer power and space and receive compensations for it, that means you can also host your website with them and not have any governments censorship. Your website will be hosted on a completely decentralize network.
Cons
- This is a very disrupting project and it can grab the wrong attention, government authorities from certain country with "No free speech" will do anything on their power not to allow a project like this to continue. Kind of the same problem Bitcoin had at the beginning.
