I bought this on a whim for a hike. I wear cotton bras every day, but I knew I'd be wandering and sweating all day while I was away, so I went with these. I don't know what material they're made of, but they don't breathe at all. In fact, I felt like they made me sweat more than usual and took a long time to dry. They are also useful for short training sessions. At 5ft 9,255lbs they hit me in the mid-thigh. I found myself adjusting and lowering the bar while feeling it continue to go up. They can be worn under sweatshirts or t-shirts, but the straps are too tight on my neck to wear under anything with an open neck. I don't know if I'll be wearing it as a standalone shirt in public, but I've worn it at home for yoga and weightlifting with a sports bra underneath. As far as compression goes, I can't confirm that. I got 2xl and they felt comfortable. Not tight. All in all, I wouldn't buy these again.
