The first thing that struck me when we opened the boots was the SMELL. It was such a strong chemical fume that we couldn't keep shoes in the house. We leave them outside when we're not wearing them. It's been a week now and the smell is still strong. This worries me about any plastic toxins that might leach out of the plastic. However, in a size 5 they fit my child who wears a size 3/4 with some room. Tip: Order boots so you can wear thick socks with them. This was the only company I could find that had large kids sized light up boots. So as long as you can store your boots outside and don't go barefoot (again, I'm concerned about the toxins that could be released from the plastic) you're fine.
