In fact, the curved shape of the panels tends to keep the edge in place. Only the ends like to slip off when hit, but are fine on their own. The inner wings have enough friction to keep them in place. Adding glue fixes it. In summary, it works, but be careful of the thickness you're applying and expect rust on the white when using it outdoors.
