I am not a professional heating engineer, just a handyman. Every year I tune my furnace; new nozzle, new ignition rods and a good firebox cleaning. With the Beckett T501 alone, it was almost impossible to align everything in the torch assembly the first time. This little plastic tool makes it sooooo easy. My old lady has been walking for over a month and has never tripped! Worth the $20 spent.
