After many years of having various technicians not know how to properly operate oil burners, I have taken it upon myself to service my own burner. The electrode assembly was off and not installed properly, so I poured the fuel into the box and burned the transformer. Once all is said and done and parts swapped out, proper assembly becomes a breeze.
