These lights are perfect for the application I bought them for. I bought 4 and they all work great. Since they have full 360 degree lighting and are on all night, I'm glad my boathouse lights don't get in the way of neighbors enjoying the darkness. These lights (especially when they are red and green) are very similar to marker or nose lights. They're easy to see, but not worth buying as landscape lighting. Even when set to white, they only illuminate the immediate area - maybe around 8 feet or more. Placed on the pier, they will illuminate the deck. Color selection is easy and a nice feature. For me they are exactly what I wanted.
