I bought this disc to use with a bare bones set I put together about a year ago. I use it for my system drive. With my AMD A10-5800K processor, the Windows 8.1 Update boot time is around 30 seconds compared to the 45 seconds that Windows 8 took. My system is also very responsive when loading and switching between programs. This is definitely something everyone should think about if they want a truly responsive system. I went with 128GB because it was the best I could afford at the time. Now I'm seeing 256GB SSDs for about the same price, under $100. I will never again build a system without installing an SSD as the system drive. I have a piece of advice. Since the SSD has no spin lag, the drive does not need to be defragmented. Windows 8 automatically defrags drives on a schedule it chooses, so dig into the settings and tell it not to do this for your SSD drive. It just wears out the drive faster. Also remember that SSDs wear out, so be religious with your backups.
