Always dreamed of a tube amplifier with two VU since childhood. I saw the reviews (and a particularly helpful video review on YouTube) and was convinced to buy the Muzishare X-7. I have connected Polk Audio i200 bookshelf speakers and a Polk Audio 10" powered subwoofer. (These bookshelf speakers aren't small - they won't fit vertically on any bookshelf.) The amp feeds the i200 perfectly. The sound is excellent in both cases. Ultra linear mode (45W per channel) and triode mode. Personally, I prefer the triode mode at higher volumes (which I'm told is 25 watts per channel and has a slight treble drop). Bass response without a subwoofer is excellent (I add a small subwoofer for personal reasons.) I never went past 12 o'clock on the volume. At 12 o'clock the amp is overwhelming in a good way. Personally, I don't like high volume, just note that there is enough power for efficient speakers. There's a good chance you'll have enough power for the large drivers found in floorstanding speakers, especially in the ultra-linear mode. I didn't open the case (like the YouTube reviewer did) but the looks are solid. Activity is everything! The reviewer showed quality point-to-point wiring with high quality soldering inside. I have nothing negative to say about this amp. I used it about 3 hours a day. In theory, the sound will improve as my speakers break in. Apparently, the lamps also improve their performance slightly with use. (Note that they will wear out over time, but this will probably happen in 5-7 years and they will need to be replaced. However, this is a known fact about vacuum tubes). My amplifier is the center of my living room. I like looking into the light. Glow in the dark tubes and a double volume meter are just art! Again, I've dreamed of a tube amp since the early 80's. $1,300 is a lot of money, but incredible value when you consider how much boutique tube amps cost. Don't be put off by the "Made in China" label. It is excellent. The biggest minus the YouTube reviewer had was the service (because it's from China). I do not agree. Since it's mostly 1950's technology (which means it runs on vacuum tubes), I'd say the service should be easy to find wherever you live. In no way am I criticizing the technology of the 1950's, I would just like to say that it is relatively simple compared to state of the art solid state amplifiers.
