Outstanding sharpness

I was blown away by the sharpness of this lens. It's sharper than my Nikkor 35mm f2.0. It's also very compact and lightweight. The only thing I don't like: * very difficult to assemble and remove. Others have mentioned it. * I wish the focus ring was wider. * Engraved distance and depth of field scales are wrong. The same applies to other Chinese manual lenses. Don't pay attention to them. While I like this and other inexpensive manual lenses, they all have very steep focus threads and incorrectly engraved distance scales. It's okay if we always focus each image visually. But it makes it difficult to choose the distance on the engraved scale. For example, at f16, with the lens set at a hyperfocal distance of 8ft, everything from 4ft to infinity should be sharp. But the steep filaments and erroneous distance scale require us to visually focus on something we estimate is 8 feet away in order to achieve that. We can't just weigh it. If you're reading this page, you probably own a Sony E-mount camera. They all have great focus assists that make manual focus fun. If you haven't tried it yet, try it with any lens. I bet you will love the manual focus. And that's important when your subject is very small or obscured by objects in front of it.
