This is a really good microphone. It's USB plug and play. All my programs had no problems and they received sound as soon as I plugged it in. Yes, a much more expensive mic would sound better, but you'd have to double the price before you start noticing the improvement in quality. The bracket looks like a good table lamp. The locks ensure it stays in place. The elastic straps holding it in place ensure you don't hear any extra "shock" noise. It comes with two windshields and has become my go-to tool for podcasting and learning to scale.
