Well, in my family life we had two toasters. Sunbeam 2 slot toaster and Cuisinart 4 slot toaster. For 20 years I never thought about uneven toast. Both toasted evenly and did what a toaster is supposed to do - toasted my toast. So when I read the reviews about the toast not toasting evenly, I honestly thought people were just being overly critical or using the toaster incorrectly. I am on the mend. I thought toasters were toasters. Quite easy. Obviously not. This toaster sucks. I've tried toasting in each slot and each slice of toast comes out with one side toasted and the other half toasted. Is this the end of the world? no Is it annoying? Yes. Is it frustrating when all I want in the morning, when I'm barely awake and feeling a little crabby, is a delicious piece of evenly toasted toast? Yes. Would I buy this toaster again? Never. I hope it just dies inside me so I can buy Cuisinart again? Yes. So save yourself the hassle (and the $50 or whatever we spent) and buy another toaster.
