Review on HENCKELS Classic Hollow Edge Santoku Knife, 7-Inch - Sleek Black, High-Quality Stainless Steel by Ross Bagby

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the backbone of the Buster. The design is imperfect. Do not buy.

Actually this is a good solid thick knife with a good thick handle. Unfortunately, the height of the blade near the handle is not sufficient. Adding to tell us the length is not enough. To use a santoku knife properly, you must be able to swing it back and forth to cut. You can't because your knuckles will hit the cutting board every time you cut. It's garbage. Here's a comparison, my OXO is 4.5" and my Dalstrong is 5". Both are excellent knives. When you cut with it, your knuckles do not touch the cutting board. This Henckels knife design has flaws. Sad. I had to return it. Do not buy.

Pros
  • A good thing
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
