Yes, there are two production bases for it: Spain and China. I've had ZERO success with any brand of red china cutlery (chipped cutting edges, even the blade broke in half in the wash!). Avoid red Chinese garbage knives. Made in Spain, these knives are perfect for our kitchen. Sharpening your own will also give them a good edge. 10/10!

Was it a second one or a fake? Because it's not over yet.

So I was disappointed with this knife! It wasn't finished yet - every metal edge was sharp and rough, as if it needed sanding. And the blade wasn't sharpened to the end. I wonder if this is an original product? I had to take a metal nail file around the edges, so they're acceptable now. Also, I had to sharpen it myself! I have other products from this company but I will not buy them again if the quality has gone down so far. Absolutely not recommended!

There was a defect on the blade

I bought this knife because of the good reviews as an alternative to the much more expensive Wüsthof. I really didn't like the square edges on the handle but figured I'd take them as a compromise for a lower price. When I took it out of the box and washed it, I noticed that there was a small notch on the edge of the blade. It was a pivotal moment for me to return it and find a more comfortable knife. I think I'm just spoiled by the feel and performance of my Wüsthof chef's knife and may need to

Actually this is a good solid thick knife with a good thick handle. Unfortunately, the height of the blade near the handle is not sufficient. Adding to tell us the length is not enough. To use a santoku knife properly, you must be able to swing it back and forth to cut. You can't because your knuckles will hit the cutting board every time you cut. It's garbage. Here's a comparison, my OXO is 4.5" and my Dalstrong is 5". Both are excellent knives. When you cut with it, your knuckles do not touch

Large santoku for small hands

Bought this to replace a shop knife (JC Penney) that I have used for years and decided it was time to upgrade to something better. The size was exactly what I was looking for. It's quite difficult to find a santoku knife that fits my smaller hands. It was perfect. I've tried twice to buy knives from different brands (Chicago Cutlery & Shun) and both had serious defects upon arrival. Henckels was the only consistent brand I could find. Very sharp knives and good workmanship. A little weight for…

Like a hot knife through butter!

I was downsizing and saw this knife at a great price on Prime Day and decided to treat myself to a great knife. I have accumulated several smaller blades over the years. what was i thinking This well-balanced, exquisitely sharp knife replaces most. I have thin bones and arthritis in my wrists. Without stress or exertion, this Henckels knife effortlessly slices tomatoes and fresh bread, separates chops with ease, and handles whatever tasks I set it up with ease. There is a reason this company…

Excellent, but safety concerns

This is a great, inexpensive knife that will do the average layman chop three tomatoes and two radishes. For me, the grip is comfortable; I don't have big hands but I think this would suit anyone, even someone with big hands. A potential safety concern is that while the square shape of the handle is convenient, it makes it easy for the knife to catch the blade if you carelessly place it on a cutting board or counter. So if you don't realize it, you could seriously injure your hand while…

Gets the job done with ease

This is a well made santoku knife. It has a full shaft with a triple riveted handle, has a comfortable grip, is well balanced and is a good weight. I bought this as a backup when my trusty Cutco knives were being sent in for sharpening. I'm really impressed with the sharpness and ease of cutting vegetables and meat. One negative I've noticed when slicing or chopping vegetables is that the food tends to stick to the blade a bit (minus one star), an issue I don't have with my Cutco Santoku knife.
