Review on HENCKELS Classic Hollow Edge Santoku Knife, 7-Inch - Sleek Black, High-Quality Stainless Steel by Mario Schultz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent, but safety concerns

This is a great, inexpensive knife that will do the average layman chop three tomatoes and two radishes. For me, the grip is comfortable; I don't have big hands but I think this would suit anyone, even someone with big hands. A potential safety concern is that while the square shape of the handle is convenient, it makes it easy for the knife to catch the blade if you carelessly place it on a cutting board or counter. So if you don't realize it, you could seriously injure your hand while reaching for the counter while cooking. My other good knives have curved handles so they fall naturally and land on the counter when set aside. Actually, that's why I'm going to send the knife back.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Fairly ok, but...
