This is the only type of can opener I will be using. Mine, which is finally wearing out, was bought in 2000. I bought these 2 packs thinking I was set for a long time. They appear to be the same, but with some differences that affect usage VERY much. First, the metal appears to be very thin. Second, it only has a small protrusion at the edge of the glass. It doesn't seem like a huge difference, but when you want to use it, it sits at a slightly different angle than my old one. It requires a lot more force to twist and feels like it's bending and flexing during use. Third, the twist grip is 30% smaller, causing it to bite your fingers when trying to twist it. Makes it more awkward to use than my old bottle opener and it wasn't expensive or anything. I threw them in the kitchen drawer, but this is a last resort. I'm still using my old one because it works better and I'm looking for a replacement.
