On my Apple computer with USB 3, this card achieved an average write speed of 60 MB/s and a read speed of 80 MB/s. I compared this to my 30MB/s SanDisk card where I averaged 20MB/s write and 23MB/s read. Before I got this card I used a SanDisk card to record video at 100MB/s and it worked fine because you need MB/s to record that. If you want to write 200 MB/s, you need 25 MB/s. It doesn't matter because this card is incredibly fast and very affordable. For those, who are not very familiar with using these cards, here is my recommended protocol. ) When you insert the card into the camera, format it in the camera. Never format it on your computer. 2) When you're done shooting, remove the card and copy the images to your computer. If your computer asks you to remove pictures from your card, say no. 3) When you put the card back into the camera, format it. 4) Never delete pictures from the camera. You should only remove images from your card if you are reformatting it. 5) Do not use your camera card as a memory card. To do this, use a USB stick. 6) Always keep them in a bag or in a camera. Don't let them fly around in your pocket with your keys and loose change. By this protocol I have had no problems with any card for at least 6 years. Delete pictures in the camera. You should only remove images from your card if you are reformatting it. 5) Do not use your camera card as a memory card. To do this, use a USB stick. 6) Always keep them in a bag or in a camera.
