Fast but seems to have quality control issues

I ordered two 64GB versions for my Nikon D610 which has two SD card slots hoping for faster buffer clearing and backup -Security is done during recording. The cards have a noticeable speed improvement over my previous cards. The buffer clears fairly quickly, allowing me to do continuous high-speed RAW shooting, with the slowdown only appearing after 13-15 shots. Reading speeds also seem high - swiping through photos is faster, importing into Lightroom is reduced. So on the speed front…

I didn't want to tear my Mac apart and get a hard drive with a .

I had a problem with my hard drive, couldn't use online recovery, and couldn't find anyone with a Thunderbolt Mac. I didn't feel like taking apart my Mac and using an adapter drive to try to recover my data, so I grabbed the fastest available XC SD card I could find, installed Yosemite on the card, and started from there to rebuild my internal hard drive . What I love most is that I can run my OS from this SD XC card, it's freaking fast! Ok, it would probably be better (and certainly faster) to

Speedy Card, exactly what it says on the label

I needed a memory card that could handle enough write speeds for 4K video and my camera manufacturer recommended a U3 Speed card. Luckily, Transcend is releasing this inexpensive U3 card with a claimed 95MB/s read and 60MB/s write speed. I immediately ordered two cards for use in my Panasonic LX100. As soon as the cards arrived, I grabbed one and tested it in my UHS-enabled card reader (for best speed, your reader must be able to use UHS controllers). ). In short, I got write speeds on the card

This thing is lightning fast - perfect for GH4 4K video

On my Apple computer with USB 3, this card averaged 60MB/s write and 80MB/s read. I compared this to my 30MB/s SanDisk card where I averaged 20MB/s write and 23MB/s read. Before I got this card I used a SanDisk card to record video at 100MB/s and it worked fine because you need MB/s to record that. If you want to write 200 MB/s, you need 25 MB/s. None of that matters because this card is incredibly fast and very affordable. For those not very familiar with handling these cards, here is my…

Reliable storage. Unreliable Guarantee.

I have an army of SD cards, some of which go back to the original standard. I bought two of these for a 4K camcorder and I'll admit they worked well as storage devices. Overall pretty easy to use as I don't deal with cameras every day. Some weekends, holidays, etc. One of the two Transcend cards has a habit of being locked in read-only mode when inserted into the card reader. It wasn't a big deal - I had to take the card out, unlock it with the slider, and insert it without the slider making…
