We asked the appliance dealer how to protect the electronic front refrigerator without buying a useless replacement plan. He recommended a REAL surge protector. We came home and found this on Amazon. It had one of the highest ratings for a budget device at the time. I waited to watch until we had storms. We recently had a power outage. The power supply oscillated between on and off and stayed at "half" for several minutes before the line completely broke.
