Not sure if I have an old batch of vinyl but it definitely didn't stick. I've watched several videos on how to install this properly. I spent an hour outside with a heat gun and a BRAND NEW EXACTO knife and I couldn't get this bad guy to stay. I have textured emblems so I knew I had to be even more careful (don't worry I have OCD). Cut out a few pre-measured strips from the paper so if I make a mistake I can start over on a new piece of paper. Before doing this, I make sure to wipe my emblems first with a degreaser and then with alcohol. I let it air dry for a few minutes before proceeding with the installation. My emblems are double embossed. similar to suspended ceilings (also called ceiling-in-ceiling). I watched several videos on how to concretely solve this problem. Even my friend (he works in a professional parts store) came and helped. My first two attempts failed miserably. I chalked it up to not being able to see the second line, which indicates double embossing. My second and third attempts failed because the vinyl just wouldn't hold. At that point I gave in and let my friend do his thing. Eventually he told me to do it so I could save money and not buy a brand new emblem. His attempts were answered with the vinyl, which also didn't stick. We used a heat gun. We washed it off. Made by credit card method, tried out a new detailer blade. We sat outside for 4 hours trying to do everything we could to calm the baby down. And I'm sorry, after spending $8 I'm very disappointed. And to top it off, my vinyl got crumpled. I didn't complain too much because a heat gun would easily solve this problem. i'm just upset I bought black and rose gold with the intention of having my car tuned within 1-2 hours. And now I'm afraid I just wasted my money.
