I bought this charger to replace a MacBook that was beginning to fall apart. It works great, charges the Macbook well and quickly. The only downside for me is that the pins fit very loosely in the socket I plugged it into. It kept falling out halfway, then started to sparkle and hiss until I put it back in. I've since moved it to one of those octopus extensions and it has helped as they tend to get stuck quite tight.
