Sharpens well
This is my first reusable sharpening knife but I have a lot of experience with all kinds of knives and chisels. . Out of the box it was relatively sharp but it required a tedious effort, thicker botanicals Grinding in a tan and it could pull and tear on thinner leather After about twenty minutes with my 1000/5000 Splash and Go bricks and a leather belt on both bevels and smoothing/polishing the cutting edge of the back it's capable of a good to hold polished edge that can grind the thinnest leather or even cheap carbon paper with ease.Excellent value for money: you can sharpen a curved edge comfortably.
