Suitable for Basics

The KingPad SA8 is a very simple and intuitive tablet with all the basic functions you need in an 8 inch Android device. It's not the best, it's not the fastest, it doesn't have a great screen or cameras or anything, but it does everything so well that it's hard to complain about the price. Let's break it down into several categories:**IN THE BOX**SA810W Tablet (5V/2A) Charger (with USB-A Female) USB-A to USB-C CableMicroSD Eject ToolManual, Quick Start Guide and other documentation **DESIGN /ASSEMBLY**+Metal body+Sturdy and feels good, it doesn't bend or creak+ Only 7.62mm/0.3in thick+Weight: 310g/10.93oz - Fairly light for an 8- Inch tablet+ FHD 1920 x 1200 16:10 screen with good viewing angles (like IPS) and colors + USB-C port for data/charging + MicroSD slot for storage expansion + Clicky power and volume buttons with good tactile feedback – the Power and volume buttons jiggle and make noises on my device when you shake the tablet - No ambient light sensor - Screen brightness is good but nothing special - Screen doesn't get very dim when used in the dark - USB-C port is for charging/data transfer only , i.e. no video/HDMI output - USB-C conn Join Now Supports USB 2.0 speed data only**SOFTWARE**+ Preinstalled Android 10+ Clean OS Build, No Malware+ Play Store and Google services included to download everything you need + Nice features like Face Unlock (couldn't do it the first time failed to set up time but succeeded on second try) and lift it to wake it up. + Gesture or button based navigation options (although gestures don't work with 3rd party launchers) + Dark mode supported + Blue light filter option (can be scheduled based on sunrise/sunset) - NOT Widevine L1 certified which means you CANNOT Watch Netflix ( and many other popular streaming services) in HD, the maximum resolution on this device is 480p. - H.264 video streaming issues with parsec and moonlight (you have to use H.265 for it to work, but the parsec breaks) , not suitable for PC game streaming - The Xbox Game Pass (xCloud)- App kept crashing randomly so couldn't use it for game streaming - No built-in wireless display mirroring/casting support - Unknown long-term support and future updates as it's a newer/smaller brand/manufacturer **PERFORMANCE** + 8-core processor common in this price/size class) + 3 GB RAM (compared to typical 2 GB in the price/size class) - approx. speed and latency performance! + Good speakers + Battery life seems pretty good, I unplugged it on standby for about 3 days and it still had about 65% battery left + Bluetooth worked great with my ipega 9023s gamepad - Cameras are mediocre - Weak CPU - and GPU performance. This is typical of the 8-inch Android tablet category, almost all of which use lower chipsets (although they are 8-core), but the SA8 still falls slightly short of comparable popular tablets like Lenovo's Fire HD 8+. Tab M8 FHD or Galaxy Tab A 8.4, especially GPU performance. It's nowhere near the cheapest iPads or new phones these days. Geekbench 5 test results: Single - 152, Multi - 7733DMark Sling Shot Extreme (Vulkan): Overall - 480, Graphics - 394, Physics - 20733DMark Sling Shot Extreme (OpenGL) ES 3.1): Overall - 394, Graphics - 328, Physics - 13133DMark Sling Shot Unlimited: Overall - 755 Graphics - 671 Physics - 1349 At least it's good enough for the basics and doesn't have the fatal flaws that completely ruin the experience. If it weren't for the H.264 and Xbox Game Pass video streaming issues this would easily be a 5 star product for me, but it just didn't work well for the main use case I bought it for ( Gaming on the go), but I have plans to use it for other purposes and would recommend it if you just want a good 8-inch Android tablet that won't break the bank and definitely stands out in this price range.
