ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! The item was previously returned and not thoroughly checked before resale and contained defective parts. The person who returned it assembled it incorrectly which made the bed impossible to assemble - I think I figured it out and returned it. I had to contact the manufacturer for replacement parts. Since the manufacturer is based outside of Canada, this could take forever. Now I have a half-made bed and sleep on the floor. DO NOT BUY RETURNED/OVERPACKAGED ITEMS! Update: The manufacturer sent replacement parts (which took about 2 weeks) but only delivered about 1/3 of the quantity I requested. I then had to contact the manufacturer again to request the rest of the order. It took another week, more or less, to wait for the rest of the parts they didn't ship the first time. After unpacking the rest of the bed to complete the initial assembly, I found MORE damaged parts. 3 of 4 drawer bottoms had holes punched in the bottom and the front of one of the drawers had a large defect on the front. So I emailed the manufacturer again. The manufacturer tells me that the requested parts are not available and may be out of stock for FIVE WEEKS. You read that right. I've never been so angry about a purchase in my life. To be honest I would have enjoyed it more if I had taken $400 in cash and lit it. There are no words to describe what a nightmare it was! you have been warned
