Not for me, but maybe for you. I would not buy again.

Product failed after 30 days of inactivity. I flip my phone back and forth at least twice a day at work and on weekends to keep my hands free. The release button is stuck and the gripper arms have slipped off the gears. I tried lubricating the guides, gears and trigger with 100% silicone. Releasing the release button didn't work. When it broke shortly after a reasonable return period, I took it apart and found that the escapement was mostly plastic save for a small spring and pin. The plastic trigger is stuck on the pin. When I tried to free it, it broke off. I would not buy this product again. I currently have a smaller, heavier grip product that my fiancee bought at Target for a quarter of the price. Recommendation: This affects the seller's cost, but if the rails and moving parts were metal, this product would probably still work. Since the holder is on my air vent, I believe the rapid temperature changes caused the materials to expand (when the heater was on) or contract (when my car wasn't running in the winter), affecting the performance of the device . I would be curious to understand what dates happened on this part. I have degrees in Engineering and Business Administration so I feel I understand the customer's need for a high quality, durable part and the company's need to minimize costs to maximize profit. From a buyer's point of view, I would not buy it again. From a business perspective, if we sell so many of these products, we may end up with a few dissatisfied customers, or we may need to figure out how to improve our product.

Pros
  • 360 Degree Rotation: A full 360 degree rotation provides the best viewing angle. The mount ensures safe driving when talking, navigating, listening to music or charging.
Cons
  • Poorly designed
