I originally gave this 1 star and returned the product with a rather scathing review stating that this adapter had overheated and stopped working after 20 minutes, but after ELECJET contacted me immediately to apologize and talk about it. In my experience they told me that they are working on an updated design that will solve the power supply issue. They refunded my money, still gave me a free product of my choice to review as promised, and later sent me an updated replacement product for free to rectify the situation. They asked me to test it for them to make sure I had no issues and I could keep it to help them research their product. I'm happy to report that I've had it for over a month now and it's working. perfect! I have two Apple Thunderbolt 2nd Gen monitors at work and at home and use the adapter all the time with no issues. It even comes with a cute little carrying case, which comes in very handy for me as I carry my MacBook Pro Space Gray back and forth every day. I came back here to change my review to reflect my experience with not only a great product (which Apple should have offered in the first place!) but fantastic, responsive customer service. Be confident when purchasing this updated Magsafe adapter and ignore any reviews older than October 2018 that were written about a buggy version.
