Awkward to Use - Knife Accessory

Inconvenient to use. Instructions on how to use it might be helpful. I put it on the middle finger of the hand I'm holding while cutting. It covered and protected my fingers, but made chopping veggies a lot more uncomfortable and time-consuming. Maybe I'll get better with practice.
