Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Enhance Air Quality in Your Honda FIT with TYC 800125P Replacement Cabin Air Filter! by Adam Huper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect fit, needs some trimming

This is the second TYC air filter I have bought. The first was for my Honda CRV which was a great fit so I bought it for my Honda Fit. Easier to replace than my old CRV. As others have noted, the TYC filter has three strips of adhesive and requires a slight trimming of the adhesive strip at opposite ends. What you want is to be able to separate the end panels from the rest of the folds so you can properly seat the filter in the frame. This is a very simple step, scissors or a knife will do, and you can even rip and peel off the adhesive with your hands if you're careful. It's so easy I wouldn't even give stars. So, on the Fit: open the glove box, take out all the junk, just pinch the sides of the glove box, lower the glove box (it's hinged so it doesn't fall off) and you've got access. to the rear cabin filter frame. Release the left and right clips and slide out the air cleaner frame. Replace with a new filter and reassemble everything. Don't forget to note the direction of airflow (I think it's down) and don't forget to install the filter correctly. You should see a small "lip" that looks like a piece of plastic sticking out on the frame (opposite ends). Put a filter in this part (at both ends) if you want, otherwise air can get around the filter. It is because of this part of the frame and the full adhesive coverage of the TYC filter that the conflict arises. UPDATE 04/01/15: Added for reference, Honda OEM part number: Review was helpful to you. She will encourage me to keep writing and updating my reviews and leaving comments if you have any questions. I will be more than happy to answer you if I can help.
