I finally gave up. So many times it has started reporting extremely inaccurate results, elevations hundreds of feet below sea level, locations hundreds of feet or sometimes even several kilometers, reporting that it only uses one satellite but the positioning quality is "excellent", various other results. This is often quite good, but too often it goes into bad behavior mode. The iOS app keeps crashing. The Bluetooth connection drops frequently. Tech support has sometimes helped me in the past by suggesting a different version of their software and I've seen them post an updated version of the software saying it fixes what I reported shortly before , so there is some responsiveness here. Long story short, I'm too tired of zen-like walks through a beautiful forest turning into grumbling and thinking about how to write a good bug report and wondering if I should give up, too tired of digging through things to see what else I can try to get it working. So today I gave up. I threw it away and was immediately relieved that I wasn't going to fight it again.
