Review on Ultimate Control and Safety: Guardian Gear Cotton Web Training Lead - 30 Ft Black by Beeye Klaver

Revainrating 5 out of 5

long and strong - dogs

I received this to help with obedience training when trying to get my dog to stay close without to run and shout. It's really great for that because it's very long. I was on the fence between that and the 30 foot gap. I'm very glad I left at 50. Of course it says 50 feet, but until I saw how far my dog could go before running out of slack I really had no idea how long 50 feet really was. . My dog has enough space to roam and feels like he has free will, but gives me enough reassurance to know that I am in complete control of the situation. My dog doesn't usually get out of breath until he thinks he's gone too far and turns around to see why the heck I'm not chasing him (during that time he'll usually come running to me if he sees me outside am the loop). approach her). I think if I got a 30 foot lead she would probably lose her slack too quickly which would destroy the illusion of her free will (which is a very important part of recall training). However, practice to get used to the administration. I would recommend getting into the habit of driving it in a more private area before taking it to crowded public places (e.g. a dog park). It can easily become dangerous if handled improperly (clothing bumps into the legs, children suffocate, etc.). For the same reason, I do not recommend this method for tying your dog outside in a public place. I also use it when we take our dog on outdoor adventures (hiking, kayaking, etc.). That gives her plenty of room to run around and sniff and all that dog stuff while we can continue our route without having to lug her around or wait for her. She ends up finishing what she was interested in and catching up. So far it has withstood a lot of abuse well. It grinds across the ground on mud, rocks, gravel, pavement; stuck in the bushes. You name it, that leash was probably there, did it. It shows no signs of use yet. Overall I would highly recommend this leash to anyone!
