When working with cars and trucks and various devices with small engines, a hefty "surcharge" is therefore often required. Sometimes you want to hit something without leaving a mark, and these hammers do a great job. I've used two big hammers quite a bit and can say they hold up as well as any other precision hits I've bought from the "big names". In fact, they seem to be holding up better than the yellow and black hardware store stamp. Keep in mind that since they are designed to transmit all of the hammer's power without leaving hammer marks, they will take all of that damage themselves over time. They will wear out the more you use them; that's what they are there for. In terms of value, this is by far the best price I've found, even for a two-pound hammer.
