Review on NuLOOM Brooke Contemporary Shag Runner Home Decor by Mary Reed

Carpet looks very nice BUT since we installed it we have only had problems. First, the smell wasn't very good even after we put it on a large rack outside to air out. Also, it is NOT plush. It is very thin, although the threads are long. You definitely need a good pillow for that, but we had no problems with that. We vacuumed it when opening it and plugged it back in after airing it out. We didn't see many threads sticking out and we were glad it didn't fall off like our wool rug. But I have a 4 year old, a 1 year old and a cat and between the kids, the cat and my husband and I walk around on him, the strings are coming out like crazy. I collect at least a handful a day. It's not a busy room and we still had so many FULL streams. Thing is going to be bald soon and also I'm worried my baby will choke if she gets one of those long thick strings in her mouth while I have to be on my guard all the time with two little ones , I have to be very vigilant now to see if there are no loose threads in the house. Overall it wasn't worth the money we paid and we are disappointed with this purchase. We have had other rugs from the same company that were of much better quality.
