The original valve started to leak and fell apart over time. This seems like the perfect replacement. To remove the old valve I suggest using a pair of pliers to pull the entire plastic assembly from the center of the rubber part and then remove it. To mount a new one, only work with new tires. part into the tank opening. Once installed, place the new plastic center assembly in the middle of the rubber piece with the small rubber pad facing down (towards the inside of the tank). Press the middle knot into the rubber part with your thumb until it also clicks into place.
