Hoover SteamVac Dual Valve 43513015 Review

I bought these because of a leaking seal in the water tank on my Hoover steam cleaner. They look exactly what I needed to fix. However, when I removed the damaged gasket, I discovered that there was a large crack underneath which was the source of the leak. Apparently this is a known issue specific to my model.

My Hoover steam carpet vacuum failed due to a faulty valve in the water tank. I would have had to throw it all away or spend $100 on a new tank if I found that little valve. It fit perfectly and my steam cleaner worked perfectly. So glad I found it! Saved me a lot of $.

This thing is a one way ticket to adjusting your tank fluid. Boy this review is intense. There is so much I want to say but . it's a valve. It works well. I've had it for over a year now and there are no signs of wear. If you don't remove the tank from the machine during storage/storage, the valve seal will last even longer.

I have been using this vacuum to dampen carpets for over 12 years. It's amazing to see how much dust there is on the carpet after a regular vacuum cleaner. The only problem is that even if you empty and rinse the water tank and detergent tank after use, it will damage the rubber seals on the bottom valves of the tank and start leaking both ways. In my case, hot water seeps into the detergent tank. Replacing both valves solved the problem.

The original valve started to leak and fell apart over time. This seems like the perfect replacement. To remove the old valve I suggest using a pair of pliers to pull the entire plastic assembly from the center of the rubber part and then remove it. We received this on 06/25/2015. Haven't used carpet cleaner yet. This valve was purchased for the Hoover Steam Dual V Carpet Cleaner # F-7431-900. It fit and went in easily. We poured water into a bucket to check for leaks. There is a small leak but this is due to the original cleaner bucket. The cleaner is probably 6 years old or so. We wanted to see if this bucket of clean water would serve us. We'll try spraying on some sealant to see if that stops the leak or makes it worse. Maybe there's a
