I used to have all sorts of meat thermometers. I tend to buy the cheaper ones and for some reason I get shocked when they suck. I figured after my last digital one (about $12) is gone I'll update it. This item is great and worth every penny. Advantages. Huge display, foldable, magnet to attach on the back, easy on and off, and different meat temps on the back are a nice touch. minuses. not yet, I'll see how it holds up over time. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, I should have made it a long time ago.
