My old plastic ice cube trays break down over time and it's very difficult to get the ice out of them. These rubber/silicone versions are the best. I've used them a few times so far and they're still holding up. There is absolutely no need to use warm water to remove the ice, I just peel off the gum like an orange peel and it slides right off the ice ball. not knowing how much water to pour in. Put too little water, it is not full ball. Put too much water, it will overflow and open when it freezes. I'm only aiming for 75-85% fill but it's hard to tell as you can't see inside. It takes some patience to fill them in, they can't be filled quickly.
