Before deciding on this robe I had two VERY 'vintage' robes that I found myself in often if I didn't plan to leave the house for the day. One of these was made in the '70s, had a cool green plaid look, and would stand up on its own without me wearing it. It was previously owned by my Grandpa <an excuse that lasted about the first 2 months of marriage> π. The other was a thick, cotton, INITIALLY white, terry cloth that I was too stubborn to replace.I was very skeptical at first of how light this one was, the thin belt wasn't floating my boat and I questioned its' ability to stop a knife attack like my previous robes. The comfort of the material was the most obvious thing to stand out. It is so, so soft and very warm even compared to thicker materials I had grown used to. I love the look of the blue plaid. I washed it upon it arriving and I should have removed the belt first since it had gotten a bit rolled. After ironing it with steam it was no longer a problem.I stand a smidge below 6 ft. and have an average build. The large/x-large fits very well. The color is a tad bluer than the official modeled pictures, but one thing I didn't notice before purchasing was the green highlights in the plaid. For sure my favorite part of the color, though!I'll be looking at other products by the makers of this product for gifts, and, likely more for me!This is a 10/10 robe! π-A Lifelong Alaskan
