Before purchasing we had our water tested. We found our water was not too bad for being well water. It does have some hardness, sediments, and a small odor but nothing harmful, more of an annoyance.After doing some research on whole house filters, we found this system and decided to purchase and install it. We could not be any happier. The entire experience was easy. No leaks, no bad tastes or smells. This system now feeds our entire house except the outside spigots. My son came to visit after the install and said the ice no longer smelled like garlic. I never even knew it had an odor until he mentioned something.I had a few questions for the manufacture and received an answer promptly. One was the little red pressure release button that appeared on the top of the unit in so many images we saw online but not on our unit. We were informed by the company that they no longer included the pressure release due to some leakage over time. To release the pressure in our line, I open the prefilter after shutting off the main valves. Seems to work great for me plus this will flush the prefilter out too.We calculated these filters should last us close to a year. We have had the system now for three months, no leaks and the pressure is fine. These filters have taken away the odors, sediments, which would clog the aerators, and have softened our water.
