Review on πŸ”Œ Amazon Basics 4-Port USB Type-C to USB 3.1 Adapter Hub in White by Art Porras

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Suitable for non-powered peripherals

So many laptops these days have less and less USB -3 ports With USB-C becoming the standard, it's a great device. My laptop doesn't have Thunderbolt capability via a USB-C port, so I bought that instead of a video cable. I recommend using it for very low power peripherals such as keyboards, mice, or self-powered external hard drives. External hard drives or non-powered chargers should be connected to the system's onboard USB ports. You can remove low-power devices from the onboard USB ports to make room for high-power devices.

Pros
  • Convert your computer's Type-C port into four separate USB Type-A 3.1 ports for connecting phones, keyboards and other peripherals
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
