The ICY BOX SSD enclosure features an attractive design with RGB lighting and an internal fan that keeps the drive cool while looking stylish. It's a tool-less enclosure that simplifies installation, taking just a few minutes to slide it in and insert a drive. Most of the case is made of aluminum, which is great for heat dissipation. This case differs from other similar products by having an internal fan. While I was concerned that the fan would be noisy and uncomfortable, it turned out not to be. The fan is completely silent, so much so that you'll wonder if it's even on. So far it has kept my high performance drive cool even under heavy use. Another difference here is the RGB lighting. The lighting effects look great both during the day and at night and add a nice touch to my home office. There is a switch to turn off the light if you wish. The case comes with two different cables: USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A. Both cables are 1 foot long and well made. CONCLUSION: Killer price for a stunning external SSD enclosure that offers both form and function. You can't go wrong here.
