Review on πŸ”‹ Metabo HPT NP18DSAL Cordless 23 Gauge: Unleashing Powerful Precision by Daniel Russell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost great. But you have to work every time.

I bought this specifically for a 3/4" solid oak installation. It has been store tested and worked well. For some reason the first few shots didn't sink properly but the next 20 shots did with 1-3/8" dowel nails going through 3/4" thick oak. Everything was fine until he missed 3 times in a row which caused the dowel nails to stick out of the barrel 1/4". Wood. Not good, and yes the battery was charged. Overall the nailer is well made, feels solid and is a nice weight. If you have Hitachi cordless tools, the good news is that the battery works with the nailer. I am about to salvage a nailer, need a tool for permanent work especially installing, no one wants to mess around trying to get nails from finished carpentry shops.
